Craniosacral Therapy
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is used to help treat dysfunction, imbalance or injury to the head. Through mobilization, this technique relieves tension that may lead to soft tissue restrictions and decreased mobility of the skull bones.
This form of therapy is designed to treat your cranio-sacral system, which is composed of the bones of your skull, spine, coccyx, membranes and the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds your brain and spinal cord. The subtle movements of the bones in your skull create a reflection in the fluctuations of your spinal fluid. This movement then spreads throughout your body through the resulting changes in fluid pressure around your central nervous system and all its attachments to the skeleton.
